HOMEMADE MUESLI

Updated: May 26, 2021

Homemade is the way to go as it is natural and healthy compared to the brands on the market which often contain up to 50% dried fruit and are very high in calories. They are cleverly marketed to make you think that they are healthy for you, so be careful not to be misguided as they can also full of sugar, honey, syrup or other sweeteners.

This recipe yields 10 portions.

Ingredients:

100g organic jumbo oats

100g organic rye flakes

100g organic barley flakes

100g organic unsweetened toasted coconut flakes

100g quinoa flakes

100g almonds, roughly chopped

100g sunflower seeds

100 g pumpkin seeds

100g sesame seeds

50g flax seeds (brown linseeds)

50g chia seeds

5 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Method:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients together.

  • To serve, spoon a portion into a bowl, pour over milk of your choice and top with some chopped fresh fruit.

* Store in an airtight container or mason jar for up to 3 months.
